Privacy Notice
How Auri Energy handles information from the Auri Energy and Cetus Platform public websites.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who we are
Auri Energy Limited, referred to as Auri Energy, operates the Auri Energy and Cetus Platform public websites. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through these websites and their enquiry, demonstration-request and cabinet-requirement forms. It does not replace the contractual privacy and security arrangements for an organisation’s separate Cetus installation.
2. Information you provide
Contact forms collect your name, work email, organisation, selected topic and message. Demonstration requests also collect the country, operator interests and evaluation details you choose to supply. Cabinet requirements include your contact and company details, configuration, quantities and project notes. A form submission also records its reference, source website, submission time and acknowledgement of the privacy information. You do not need an account to use these public forms. They do not collect payment-card details, account passwords or live electricity-network telemetry.
3. Recruitment applications
When you apply for an advertised role, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, CV and cover letter, together with the vacancy wording and revision, submission reference and acknowledgement of this notice. Auri Energy uses this information to assess your suitability, arrange recruitment discussions and record a reasoned hiring decision. We process an application to take steps you request before an employment contract and to pursue our legitimate interests in fair, accountable recruitment, subject to applicable law. Your acknowledgement confirms that you have read this information; it is not consent to marketing. Authorised HR staff and named internal reviewers can access applications for recruitment. We protect submitted documents, restrict access to authorised staff and retain a record of recruitment assessments and decisions. Please provide only information relevant to the role. We do not ask for payment, bank details or identity documents in this application form. Retention is limited to the recruitment purpose, any applicable legal requirements and the handling of claims; HR must apply its approved retention schedule and securely remove records when no longer needed. For an application question, withdrawal, correction or other privacy request, use the contact form and include your application reference. No automatic hiring decision is made by this website.
4. Website delivery and browser storage
Website delivery and security systems may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, request time and requested page. Our public website code does not install advertising trackers or visitor analytics. Essential browser storage remembers your cookie decision. Remembering your light or dark theme is optional and requires your permission. The Cookie Policy describes the exact storage used.
5. Why we use information
We use submitted information to answer questions, evaluate demonstration requests, prepare an engineering or commercial discussion, review cabinet requirements and manage the resulting correspondence. Requests are recorded in our request-management system so authorised colleagues can assign responsibility, record follow-up and retain a handling history. We also use information as needed to operate and protect the websites, address misuse, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list merely because you send a request.
6. Legal grounds
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the ground appropriate to the activity: steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in responding to business correspondence and securing our services, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. Our legitimate interests are providing a reliable business contact service and preventing misuse, while limiting the information used for those purposes. Consent is the basis for optional browser storage. A form acknowledgement does not waive your rights or provide consent for unrelated marketing.
7. Who can access information
Authorised Auri Energy staff access requests according to their responsibilities, including sales, engineering, customer support and privacy follow-up. Hosting, communications and technical service providers may process information on our behalf to deliver and support the service. We may disclose information where legally required, to protect rights or as part of a lawful business reorganisation. We do not sell enquiry details. A contact request does not give staff or another operator access to your organisation’s Cetus database or network.
8. International handling
Auri Energy works across locations and uses technical infrastructure that may process information outside your country. An office address alone does not identify the location of a server or database. Where the GDPR restricts a transfer outside the EEA, the applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be met, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can use the privacy-request form to ask about the providers, processing locations and safeguards relevant to your request.
9. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including follow-up, an ongoing business relationship, applicable record-keeping obligations and the establishment or defence of claims. Retention depends on the request’s nature, whether it becomes a project and any legal need to retain a record. Closing a request does not necessarily remove its handling history. We review privacy requests against those purposes and obligations. Browser consent choices last up to 180 days; optional theme storage follows the same consent period and is removed when you reject it.
10. Security
We use access restrictions and technical controls to protect information and to keep the public websites separate from customer installations. Only the information needed for a request should be submitted. No website or transmission method can provide an absolute guarantee of security. If you need to discuss sensitive project material, ask the team to arrange an appropriate exchange method.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Cookie settings let you change optional-storage choices at any time. We may need proportionate information to verify a rights request and will respond within the period required by the applicable law.
12. Complaints and local rights
You can raise a concern through our privacy-request form or write to the address below. Where the GDPR applies, you may also complain to a competent supervisory authority, including in the EEA country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. In Uganda, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Office. Rights under applicable data-protection law are not limited by the website terms.
13. Children and automated decisions
These websites describe professional energy and engineering services. Their forms are intended for business and professional enquiries; they are not designed to collect children’s information. We do not use these public forms to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you. Submitting a form does not automatically create a login, approve an order or grant access to an electricity network.
14. Contact and changes
For a privacy question or rights request, choose “Privacy and data requests” in the contact form. Include an existing request reference if you have one. The request is recorded in our request-management system for assigned follow-up. You can also write to the address below. We may update this notice when the websites, information handling or legal requirements change; the revision date identifies the current version.
